I know the phrase if it aint broke dont fix it but I would like my gun cerakoted mainly for personalization. My question is, who would be one of the more reputable cerakoting shops? I dont have anything local with better than 2 star ratings. Thank you for any and all input

How comfortable would you be trying it yourself? If you have can degrease it, maybe bead blast it lightly, applying the cerakote with a detail gun is pretty easy. I bake my stuff in my oven with no issues. I don't have any suggestions for another shop.

I don't know about pretty easy.  I had a coworker who it a very good automotive painter cerakote a Sig 226 and it would not function after that.  It looked great on the outside but the barrel would not move freely in the slide.  David

I did a 226 that suffered the same issue...and that was with thinned cerakote.  Sigh are super tight in all the right places.  I found it takes some foreknowledge to do then right.
