I'm considering a purchase of a .45 Stainless Pro Carry II...any thoughts?

I bought a Pro Carry II with the aluminum frame and love it.  I have 350 rounds thru it with not one problem.  I bought Wilson 47D mags and they work great in it. Enjoy, it's a great carry gun.

I have the same exact gun.

It is more accurate then both my Colt 1991A1 and my SA Mil-Spec 1911A1, both 5" barrels.

It is just as reliable as The Colt and more reliable then the SA.

Hollow points are no problem with it.

If you have never fired a .45 with the shorter barrel and light frame of it you will take notice of more kick, more flash, and more bang.

edit: I totally messed up, I was thinking "ultra" not "pro", never mind. I'm a dummy.

Have a Tactical Pro and it has all the options you could want. The trigger pull is just over 4 pounds and is quite accurate, shoots better than I do!!

I personally like the balance and feel of the 4 inch pro pistols.

So much so it prompted me to buy a TLE/RL Pro in SS a few weeks ago.

GL with your Kimber.

I have been carrying a blued Pro Carry everyday for about a year now.  I have never had any problems with it.  The aluminum frme makes for comfortable all day carry.  The only thing I have changed is the grips.  I now have VZ Grips in place of the stock rubber ones.
