Hey guys im still pretty new to the pistol world and im on my first one, which is a 4" xd 9mm.  Its only a few months old and has a little under 2000 rounds through it.  My question is, ive had around 6 or 7 failure to extracts in that time period. I regularly clean it and usually shoot winchester 9mm FMJ 115 grain or UMC of the same specs through it to train with, I have put maybe 40 carbon +p hollow points(my carry ammo) through it to notice anychanges in point of impact. The carbons had no problems just the other two,  are the other two that bad that they experiance that many problems or is it my pistol that i should have looked at.  I did read about i think it was guns and ammos 20,000 round endurance test and that made me think twice.  Any advice or opnions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Use a hotter round than Winny white box. Try American Eagle, UMC, etc. The fact that your carry ammo works and the Winny doesn't is your carry ammo is hotter(+p).

On the carry ammo, I assume you mean Cor-bon. If that's the case then I might suggest a better performing hollow point like Winchester Rangers or Speer Gold Dots. A lot better performance in every test I've seen.

yes cor-bon is what i meant to type.  Ill try those other carry rounds u suggested thanks.  As far as a hotter round goes, i have used umc and have had the same problem; but now that u mention it i used the american eagle's for my first 200 or so rounds and i dont remeber any probs with them. Thanks for the info.
