i've narrowed my next firearm purchase down, in terms of caliber and style. however, i'm still trying to choose between a few, in that bracket. opinions would be appreciated on these:
(1) Master Piece Arms 22 (2) Tactical Innovations Cohort Pepper (3) GSG 5 Pistol (4) Whateverlse falls into this catagory it will be bought with the intention of using a (registered) supressor, in case that affects which one you think is the best option. thanks |

Sounds like all .22s to me.
CZ Kadet, threaded. Buy a Glock frame of size of choice (GB, $200-275), buy an Advantage Arms conversion, and a threaded barrel. If you like Sigs (I don't , except the Mosquito, in which dislike doesn't begin to describe my disdain), the P-220/226/228/9 -.22 is available with a threaded barrel, as either a kit or complete (P-220-22 would be designator). I believe TacSol Glock and 1911 conversions are available threaded. As Wyldman shows, the ATI/GSG 1911 is ready to gun, and some are reports are favorable, although my PERSONAL BIAS is that zinc has no valid us in quality firearms. |

OK, how a Cohort? A 10/22 based gun is hard to beat, though doesn't have the Cohort have an AR style charging handle? Red dot OK, but if an optic over hangs in back, it's HARDER to use than side charger. My other suggestion would S&W M&P 15-22 or Sig 522 pistol, both, IIRC, are threaded. No my cup of tea, but there there are. |
