I was looking thru brownells, for a after christmass present for my self and came to a 10-8 flat trigger.  Says it gives a uniform length of pull and has a overtravel stop.  Sounds like a good deal for a carry/hd gun.  Does it work?
Anyone have one?  Thoughts?  Opinions?
But then again I didn't want xs sights just because accuracy and this might hurt accuracy.  Let me know what you think.

I'm a fan.  If you don't like the look of the 10-8 you can also get a SVI modular trigger with a flat front (short, med, long reach available) and it's also available in different colors too, wide body for the hi-cap 2011-style and single stack too.

SVI trigger:

The 10-8 works great for me, I'll be dropping in my second this week.  I got used to the flat front in my STI and iked it so much, I'm switching my .45 to it.

I like the flat front because it allows my trigger finger to ride high on the trigger.  I have a high hold on my 1911's and with a curved trigger, my trigger finger was angled down.  With the flat front, my finger is flat as well.

Any pics.  How ugly are they I never seen one installed.       Did it make it more accurate?   Well make you not the gun.

Forgot to answer the other question... I just like the high hold I can get on the trigger.  I don't know if it makes me more or less accurate, but it is certainly more consistent. I do like the feel of the 10-8 too.  The front is just a little rounded and grooved lightly, and it feels soft, no hard edges and doesn't rub me the wrong way.

I have not used one or felt one for that matter. They do seem to be gaining popularity. Its shape would make your trigger pull feel more consistent. EGW also markets one, also in Brownells that is similar, but it has a little more curve to it. All of the 10-8 parts of excellent quality. This type of trigger would probably feel best with a 1911 that fits high in the tang, i.e. a high cut front strap with a Ed Brown or similar shaped grip safety would make the gun feel like one solid piece.

I had one on a custom Colt. The trigger was either Caspian or STI, can't remember. I didn't like it but maybe it was just the look, maybe it felt weird.

I grip the pistol high and with a tight grip my index finger is at the edge of the frame. The knuckle is naturally canted toward the grip so as my finger curls to the trigger it curls more at an angle down bringing it into the trigger guard on center.

Maybe I like having more purchase of the curved trigger as it conforms so well to shape of my finger.

Anyway, its gone (not really, its around here somewhere) and I'm happier.
