Browning is a US reseller/distributor of some FN products (along with some Japanese shotguns/rifles), but the two companies are independent of each other. FNH marked Hi-Powers were available for $400 for a couple years, but those are gone now. |

I'm pretty sure FN bought out the Browning name, as well as Winchester. Either way, FN has built all the FN or Browning marked HP's. Browning never manufactured the HP. edited to clarify; Herstal Group Herstal Group now owns the trademark for all three FN, Browning, and Winchester. |
