My 3rd gen G21 is my smoothest shooting Glock by far. You better shoot it first though, they have large frames and alot of folks don't care for it. If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit! Seriously, I love mine and will probably end up buying a suppressor for it. |

The two I have experience with were finicky. Others, Inc Larry Vickers, report issues at a higher rate than the 9mm Glocks. I have a 20 that I love, and a 17 and 19. I would pass on the 21. The G21 problems, mainly light strike issues, were a long while ago, before the -1 trigger bars came out. Nothing wrong with a G21. If you get an older one, just make sure it has a -1 trigger bar, and you won't have any problems. I wouldn't say currently, that 9mm Glocks are necessarily going to be the benchmark as far as reliability, as far as new Glocks go....look at the Gen4's record so far. I have Glocks that that shoot 9mm, .40, and .45. The one I carry on duty is a G21 .45. |

That statement by Vickers has been floating around a long time. I read it and did research on the 21 before my purchase. LAV has actually clarified the statement by adding that his bad experience was with the very early 21's and that was a long time ago..... If you doubt the reliability of the 21 just use your google foo, you'll find that they are just as durable as the 9's. |

oh yea i plan on shootin it i just dont wont to get ripped off or it be one of those that bad apple models cause to tell you the truth i never heard of that model. I remember recently reading that the G21 has been around since 1993 or so. It is not a new model, nor an oddball. The "oddball" models are arguably the .45GAP, .357Sig, and the single-stack .45ACP "G36" models. (i.e. 31, 32, 33, 37, 38, 39, 36, 25, & 28) I would hesitate to call them "oddballs" though. |
