Go with the black. I was perplexed as well and decided I could get a OD Hogue Handall grip instead. Here

Heck I ordered an OD Glock 19 today too.

Imagine that.

All in all, a great firearm.  Congrats on your choice.

the 19 is by far the most popular model Glock produces. I sell more 19s than any other model. Great choice for a 9mm mid-size pistol.

I'm a little, skinny guy too: 5'5" & 130lbs and I have no trouble carrying my G19 in a Milt Sparks VMII or Comp-Tac CTAC.

I also can successfully carry a full size 1911 in a VMII as well.

You'll be absolutely fine with the G19 and welcome to the dark side

+1

I was never a huge 9mm fan but have found the G19 to be the most perfect carry gun ever invented.

I have a 17 I bought from a desk seargent slightly used in 1996 for $400.

I love the 17 and have gotten to be a pretty good shot with it.  I keep it in my vehicle under the seat with 17 rds of Gold Dot in a Galco Combat Master holster.

For CCW I have a Taurus 85 in .38 in a pocket holster.

My G17 seems a little big for CCW.

Should I trade it for a G19 or keep it and get a G19 anyway?

I really dont need to 9mm's, but the more compact size of the 19 is appealing.

But I still love the G17 as it was my first Glock.

What do you guys think?

Personally, I would keep the G17 and add a G19.

I just bought a G19, my first Glock, and now would like to add either a G17 or G34 to the family to use as a range gun. I may even add a G26 to the family for my wife's conceal carry gun. I actually bought the G19 for her use and fell in love with it, so I want more Glocks.
