Has anyone else had a problem with the 27 feeding hollow points. Ball seems to work fine.....Bee

No, but have you tried different ammo?  Maybe a little polish on the feed ramp.

assuming you've run through the "normal" break in of 200 rds, send it back.  glock will make it right.

my g20 took 700 rds of expensive ammo to run right.  i wish i'd sent it back.

I've had no problems with the factory magazines and Winchester Silvertips or Gold Dot hollowpoints.  It might be time to send it back if you've tried a second box and still have problems.

Yeah. And he takes a dump mid-meal to eat some more.

I had problems feeding HP's in my 27, but it turned out to be a bum mag.  Have you tried another mag?

Thanks for all the help. 250 rounds of speers gold dot today. Not one problem. This gave me confidence in my 27 again. All my glocks now fuction flawlessly. :)19,26, and the 27....Bee

So what was the problem?  Did you change ammo/mags or just the calendar date?

180gr or 165gr?

I've been shooting the 155 Silver Tips mostly then use the Walmart white box 165gr for additional practice.  I've only shot the 180gr a few times, they seemed more push than snap.  Recently I've been considering changing to them solely in order to get to that magic 12" of regular penetration.

I was using 165's. And your are right they are very snappy! I just ordered 1000 180's . Ill see how they work out...Bee

I'd be interested in your impressions of the 180's feel.  I'm still amazed at the accuracy of the G27, for a pistol that light with only a 3.5" barrel it shoots better than my S&W 65!  I'll probably pick up a G22 this spring so that I have a full size pistol in the field as a backup.  The 27 is tops for a CCW around town.

I really cant give a fair interpretation on my 27 yet. Ive only run about 300 rds through it. Im still much better with my 26 and 19.

Stick with it, it'll pay off.  I totally agree that the 27 has absolutely no right being as accurate as it is.  If I hadn't already picked up a 29, I'd have already snagged another 27.

I shot a 23 at an indoor range before I got the 27 and the G23 'felt' like the recoil was worse.   Well, not worse, but definitely more noticeable.  I think the dual captured recoil spring on the G26/27 makes a world of difference.  The 1/2" of length and height shaved off the G27 makes it that much more concealable.

I a big fan of the .45, but the G30 was just a hair smaller, but wider than the G23 so I went with the G27.  The idea of the 10mm in the G29 was just a bit daunting to me.  I shot a Bren Ten in 1984 and was way impressed with clanging the gong at 100yds.  That power in anything smaller seemed a bit much.  Then again, I've not fired a G29 so I really don't know.

"Daunting" is a good word to describe the 29.  I'm not going to lie and say I shoot it as well as I shot my 27, but I'm still "8-ringing" a B27 at 25m so I'm not going to complain.

That said, my old 27 would be doing the 9-ring shuffle, or even "mostly 10's" on a good day (mine, not the gun's).

Hahahaha.  I think I should adopt that technique when going to the buffets.

I just got my Glock 27 last weekend and have not had the chance to test fire it yet.  I love it since it's very concealable,  now I just need a good cencealment holster.  Any suggestions?

[#25]
The best holster depends on your physical build, environment and concealment needs.  If you're carrying any extra weight around the middle you won't like an IWB too much.  If you are sitting, driving, walking or lifting stuff most of the day then your needs will differ as well.

I have a paddle holster that rides high and snug on either side.  I also have a tuckable IWB holster for when the clothes I wear are lighter.  Both work, the paddle is more comfortable, but also more to conceal.  I've no experience with an ankle holster, though the Apache and Ankle Glove come highly recommended.
