| i was thinking of purchasing a g27 and was wondering if anyone has one and how it feels |
| I'm a LEO and I carry a Gock 27 every day off duty. I have been carrying concealed for over 32 years and I think the 27 is the best all around gun I've carried considering power and being concealable. I previously carried S&W 3913, Detonic's 45, Walther PPK and PPK/s S&W model 469, 6904, 39-2, 60 and a Colt Combat Commander. After carry the aforementioned guns the only reason I'd get the Glock 27 over the 23 is if you are going to carry the pistol in an ankle holster. The butt of the pistol is usually the hardest part to conceal. If you put a plus 1 grip/mag extension on the G-27 the length of the grip is almost the same as the 23. For ankle carry I use the flat bottom mag in my G-27. I find the 23 and 27 have the same accuracy and recoil. It all depends on what you are going to use the pistol for. Glocks are very reliable, corrosion resistant and accurate. One of the most simple pistol designs ever. The Maytag washer of pistols. Only issue I've ever had with my Glock 27 is the mag springs take set and will not always lock the slide back on the last round. No big deal all you have to do is buy to springs or mags. Since going to Glock several years ago I've had no desire to carry anything else. As you can see I've used and shot a bunch of different guns since I started carrying a gun in 1976. |

I liked my G27 just fine. I've sold it , but that was more of a situation where I also own a G26 and wanted to use the proceeds from the 27 towards another goodie. The 27 does kick noticably more than the 26 however. Another good thing is the G27 can accept a conversion bbl for more affordable practice and versatility. I really like the Milt Sparks VM2 holster as well. Have Fun. -JC |
| I carry my 27 almost every day. I live in Texas, and it gets very hot!!! I like it because I can run around in shorts and T-shirt, and never have any problem with it showing up. It has taken me a while to get used to the recoil, but after a year I don't really notice it. |
