I think I want a glock 29. it would be a really gonzo carry piece, and serve as tent protection when I am camping. I have heard that these are the most troublesome of the glock family...is this true? are factory night sights going to be okay with the recoil of the mighty 10mm? are there any loads I cannot shoot out of this gun with its shorter barrell? is it true that I cannot use g20 mags in it? can I get it in od? thanks for the answers everybody! |

I think I want a glock 29. it would be a really gonzo carry piece, and serve as tent protection when I am camping. Yes, a G29 would be a great camping gun. I have heard that these are the most troublesome of the glock family...is this true? Not at all, the only problem may be the recoil, but most people should have no problem. are factory night sights going to be okay with the recoil of the mighty 10mm? Again, recoil is not that bad. Factory night sights will be fine. are there any loads I cannot shoot out of this gun with its shorter barrell? Shoot any jacketed bullet you want, just stay away from lead rounds. is it true that I cannot use g20 mags in it? G20 mags are great for the G29, and again no problem. can I get it in od? Yep. Get one, i'm sure you will enjoy it. Steve |
Mine has never jammed, G20 mags work fine, no ammo you can't shoot except for cast lead bullets. OD 29s are a little more rare, but they're out there. The 29 may be my favorite Glock. I shoot it better than the 20 as crazy as that sounds, it's extremely concealable, and packs 10+1 rounds of "pocket artillery" 10mm.
