i went ahead and snagged it.
love the gun, it is a little cannon! pretty impressive recoil but its very manageable. i have a few glocks and im pretty good at stripping them. i have a lot of trouble with this one. the slide starts to come off and it hangs on something ( about an inch into it commin off) i have to give it a good tug to get the slide off. also, when i go to assemble it, it snaggs again. the guide rod spring dosnt want to let the slide go back on. i have to readjust the rod before it will go. any ideas? this is my first glock with the different recoil spring is this normal? i currently have a 22, 23, 19, 17 and those all go together great |
| i have the SF version. i bought it used but i don't believe it was fired at all before i got it. i've only put like 60 rounds through it since i bought it and i really like it, but its just so expensive to shoot factory ammo. the cheapest i can find plinking ammo is 23.95 for blazer. reloading is the key with 10mm if you plan on shooting it regularly. |

Buy a Lone Wolf .40 conversion barrel and shoot WWB 40 ammo. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: or buy a 36 and swap the slides to shoot .45 that's my plan A G36 is a 45. There's no way to my knowledge to convert it to 10mm. I was talking the other way around. That way you can shoot both. I think you mean the G30. Top ends on the 36 and 29 are not interchangeable in either direction. |

The G29 just might be the best Glock pistol when you consider its size, the 10mm round, CCW and performance...It shoots as well, if not better then my G26, G19, G17, G21 and G20. It's a man's G26 and I like the G26 a lot, its a great weapon, but the 29 is a little cannon.
Never a ftf and its w/me at the range often. Like some posters here, I've added a SS guide rod and springs (LWD/necessary). Unlike most I don't sweat the ammo pricing as I'm too big a 10mm fan to let $$$ stop me. Try the Double Tap Equalizer 230 two projectile round for some range fun. Yes, its $44 a box but are you planning on living forever? |

I've had this issue with virtually all of my Glocks past & present. I write it off as operator error rather than the gun as I've had others strip mine w/o any issues at all. I'm thinking I don't pull down the take-down buttons far enough & hold it long enough to allow the slide to slip off. As for the guide rod/recoil spring, that doesn't happen to me & it sounds like it's not on completely straight. Others will no doubt shed better light on this matter. My .o2 |
