I acquired a P6 about 5 months ago and had the ramp polished and the hammer spring changed at the same time, I also bought two wolff 5% extra power magazine springs to also help in reliability.  My question is when I feed it hollow points manually the last two rounds always hang up on the feed ramp and I noticed when I just load a few in the mag they don't sit up at an angle like when the mag is fully loaded.  Do I have something wrong with the mag or do I just need to refinish the feed ramp to get a better angle for feeding? I am not actually shooting the HP ammo b/c I just don't have the funds to go out and blast away with this gun I just want it to run on anything because my dad may eventually carry it.  Thanks

First off, you will have to run those HP through it in live fire. Just because they wont feed manually doesn't mean they wont feed at all. Run a few mags through it first. If they hang up try some hollowpoints that are closer in profile to FMJ and stay away from rounds over 124grs. the heavy 147 grain rounds are known to hang up in the earlier P6's. They have a different feed ramp profile.

You should really run a fair amount of your carry ammo through a pistol before betting your life on it anyway.  Anytime you switch ammo you should determine reliability with a generous amount of ammo. It may not be cheap but neither is your life.

FWIW 124gr Gold Dots tend to feed well in my 1982 P6.

BTW the top few rounds in my loaded mags sit lower in the front if that helps with your mag question.
