fun shop I go to have a s&w gunsite 1911 for 850.00 and springfield armory officer w/comp on it 499.95 that will need work.

I say run with the Gunsite. But thats just me.

I'd would need to know how much money the Springfield needs before I could make a decision...but ultimately if these two where my choices...I'd wait till something else comes along...I just don't like the S&W 1911s.
