its the Champion Mil spec 45 1911a1
it says its "loaded" with features, novaks, beavertail nice hammer, trigger, extended safety, match barrel for only $534 on gunfinder.net

comes with a lightweight frame too, which would make it nice for carry, what does the matte finish look like?

how are these springfields I know they aren't made in the US but that probably keeps the cost down.

I like Springfields.  They make a good gun for the money.  The only complaint I have is that the frontstrap is "thicker" than on Colts--really bothers me.  But other than that I say go for it.  The lightweight frame should be nice.

I like all the ones I ever had, but like vet says..."the frontstrap is thicker", actually, I find the backstrap, trigger guard and dust cover to be "thicker" too. Kinda unfinished to my eye.
Great guns, however.

All I have is SA 1911's. The front strap is no longer thick. It is the same as Colt and everyone else.

I noticed after several years, finally, the newer ones are coming through in original 1911A1 form.
Now I have no basis for complaint...thanks SA!

I took mine to the range yesterday- she ran great. No issues at all. First shot, at 7, went dead center through the bull's eye. I thought- Hmmm.... Shall I leave now?
I didn't. After 150 it was still sweet.

So I went home and lovingly cleaned and lubed her up, and went in the bedroom, and....
Put her in the safe.
