i have two kimber magazines.  the factory 7 and i bought a 8 rounder at a gun store.

i'll shoot a couple rounds then it will not feed properly.   so i rack the slide and it loads the round properly.   it does it on both factory magazine.      I have fired about 5-600 rounds through the pistol, maybe more.    Its cleaned after each shoot, all original parts.

I have no other magazines to try, im wanting to buy more anyways.   any recomendations ??

thanks

I read your other thread concerning the Wilson mags.  Next step would be a different extractor.

Before that though:

Can you cycle rounds thru the gun by hand?  What I mean is just pull the slide back with enough force to eject the round and release (without riding it forward).

Does it go thru an entire mag without malfs?  If not then I would definitely suspect the extractor.

Any pics of a malf?

HERE FOR MORE EXTRACTOR INFO

If it goes thru an entire mag with no malfs, the next thing I would try is a different recoil spring.

i've loaded both magazines to the max  the old kimber and the new wilson.

dropping the pulling the slide back  untill its empy it has not failed once on either magazine.  i've done it 4 times total each mag

got access to some recoil springs?

That "reliability" link above reveals a lot of 1911 'secrets'.  Maybe that can give you some more ideas

Anytime

Much better sources of info are

SGB (1911 forum mod)

and

1911builder

There are only so many parts one can change before you start getting into cutting/polishing stuff

You will have better luck with the XD over the CDP II.  Both of which I own.  However...it's still not a Glock!

Good luck getting the problem corrected.

My Pro CDP II went back to the custom shop 3 times trying to have its feeding problems fixed. I only used Wilson mags, and they didn't work any better than the stock or CM mags. Just before I moved I remedied the problem by selling the thing and buying a Glock 30. Never felt better!
