Ask 10 people and you will get 10 answers, all pretty much based on personal prejudice. I've seen dozens swear that Mepros are brighter and last longer, then there will be dozens more that swear Trijicons last longer, and a lot of makers us Trijicon sight inserts such as Marbles and AO I believe. A lot of people write in at HKPRO after buying one brand of sights to question why the side of the sight says Trijicon on the side. Trijicon makes the tubes for a lot of people, not just themselves. Some don't like the way one brand paints on the dot and it can wash off with some solvents, and others don't like the way the white plastic insert on the other brand can turn yellow over time or exposure to some solvents. I've heard all the complaints. Me, I use MMC sights on 4 different handguns and have nothing but the highest praise for both their product and their customer service should you ever need it. There are no flies on Mepros or Trijicons, and I have owned sights of each brand at one time or another. I don't see much difference in the tubes at all. The reason I have gone with MMCs now is because they offer an idiot proof no-snag tough as nails adjustable rear sight that is second to none. My son and I both have them on our carry USPC .45s and could not be more pleased. MMC |
