| guy said it was a IIE series, what gives? |
|
the original Pro CDP (like i have) has no external extractor nor a firing pin safety. IIRC, Kimber series II guns are upgraded to include a firing pin safety, much like when Colt changed from the Series 70 that had no FPS, to the Series 80 with FPS. the E should signify the upgrade to their new tactical external extractor (a fine improvement BTW) |

the best price locally was $980 before tax.i prefer to puchase local, but when i can save over $125 by the time you figue tax(enogh to buy a quality holster and some ammo) it is hard to justify. |
The Pro CDP's and The Stainless Pro TLE/RL II locally are all in the 1040-1060 'ish range. |

I hope your right. Mine kept having FTRB problems for 1000 rds. Started out like your pistol. A couple the first 200 rds then it started happening more often. I always wanted a Pro CDP but I traded it for a S&W 500. My other Kimbers are 100% realiable. I didn't want to put up with a picky one. Good luck w/ yours. TC |
after the first trip,i gave it a good cleaning and "over" lubed it.havent had any sort of failure since.i am far from being an expert, but my humble opinion is that kimbers are TIGHT from the factory, several hundred break in rounds and plenty of lube help them alot. |
