I know it is hard to "quantify" subjective differences, but how much difference do you perceive between the two in things like recoil, accuracy, feel, etc...just trying to get a sense for the practical performance differences (I can read about the feature differences).

Thanks in advance.

I like the adjustable sights better.

What is the difference in trigger?

The tactical has the Match trigger installed already.

What is the match trigger like?  It is not a DA only trigger is it?

The match trigger is a standard SA/DA trigger but has no creep, very crisp break, and no over travel.  It may or may not be lighter but will be smoother.  I have some Tacs whose triggers are just as heavy as the standard USP but they feel much lighter because they are so crisp. IMO the Tac is the better deal for the money you spend for a do everything pistol but if only for a duty, night stand, or CCW (especially CCW) the USP is the way to go.  If you are not going to suppress the pistol or do any shooting that needs the better sights and trigger the USP will do all you need to do.

What does it cost for a match trigger in say a USP9F?

I have both a USPf .45acp and a USPf .45acp Tactical.  The accuracy between the two is about the same, with maybe a slight nod to the Tactical (but that's probably more contributed to the nut behind the trigger).

The trigger is deffinately nicer on the Tactical, and the adjustable sights are nice too.  I think the Tactical looks cooler with the longer barrel, but I don't think it's added length is enough to effect accuracy.

If it came down to me needing to pick one over the other, I'd keep both!

$100-$125 + install.

How difficult is the install?

This is the standard reply I give about the Match trigger.  You can drop it in yourself but it is not a true drop in kit.  To get all it has to give it needs to be fitted by HK.  All problems with the match trigger have been from people who just dropped it in then wondered why it did not feel as good as the match trigger they tried on a Tac or Expert that was installed by HK.  You can do it yourself and if you are happy with the results you saved a few buck, and if not then you can HK go over it.  Or you can not worry about saving a few bucks and get it installed correctly from the get go.  And if it matters to you, by having HK do it there are not voided warranty issues to worry about if you screw something up while trying to install it.

My groups are a bit tighter with the Tactical over the standard USP.  Might be the trigger or the o-ring, not sure.  Not a big difference though.  If you aren't going to add the can, why not look into an Elite or Expert?

The sites on the Tactical are pretty sweet IMO. I think they'd be better for precision shots.

O-ring?

There is a rubber o-ring near the end of the barrel that lockes it into place more securely when in battery.

It's nice that you can mount a suppressor on the Tactical...
