I currently do not have a gun safe, but do plan on getting one sometime in the near future. Untill then i am stuck with storing my glocks in a soft range bag, or the plastic glock box, Which would be beter for the finish? (i know there glocks but i baby them anyway)

-thanks

Is the egg-crate foam still in the plastic Glock box?  If so, I would keep it in there.  Hard plastic offers more crush protection than the soft range bag.  But, as for the finish goes, as long as the Glock isn't moving around while being stored it shouldn't get scratched, no matter what you store it in.

When mine is not riding around in a holster, it lives in my range bag, in my safe. I keep a dark towel in there as a rag to protect any other guns riding along from each other, and the pistol pocked on my range bag is pretty soft. No scratches either.

Honestly, I think hurting your Glock's finish would be a challenge, and is unlikely to happen by accident unless you keep it in a holster full of fine mud and crawl on it, wet, every day for a month or more.
