I had robar re do the finish on my handgun frame.  It started to peel off where moving or sliding parts are on it.  What happened?

It looks to me as they may not have prepped the alloy frame properly. Do they have a lifetime warranty on Rogard? I would be calling them if I were you

I callled them and yes they do have a lifetime warranty.  I'm returning it and they'll re-do it for free.

That is too bad. I had Robar do a two tone job on my kimber; NP3 with Rogard on the slide. The same thing happened with the Rogard. It began to flake. I contacted Robar and had them refinish the entire gun in NP3. Robar did take care of their mistake and other than having to wait for about a week I was not out any more cash. The NP3 has been great and I have no issues.
Unfortunately, Robar does not use a primer such as parkerizing and I think this leads to the issue of flaking. On the plus side, Robar does stand by their product and will do what you ask.

I got the gun back from Robar.  I didn't want to risk the flaking to happen again so I asked them to switch the finish.  Roguard on the slide and NP3 on the frame.

This time no issues...No flaking!  Robar stands true to their promise with the lifetime warranty.
