So I am pretty new to revolvers but recently got a ruger speed six .357. I love it, it has trigger that is as smooth as my dads older S&W, and the only thing I am going to do is get a tyler t-grip for it.   I have already put 250 rounds through it in 2 shooting sessions. I was wondering though, am I gonna reach a round threshhold that will start breaking the gun apart?  I have heard that some of the lightweight revolvers cant handle that many rounds so was wondering if it was the same with the heavier ones too? thanks guys

You probably wont wear the Security Six out.

A lightweight revolver will wear you out before it wears out.  Recoil is more pronounced.

You will shoot at least 5x in ammo what the gun is worth before it needs reworked/replaced
