[ARCHIVED THREAD] - shooting gloves

Anyone use them? I got back from the range yesterday, shooting off 500 rounds of WWB out of my Glock 19, and now my hands feel like they're sunburned. This is the first time I've shot over 100 rounds in one range session, and I've come to the conclusion some gloves would be nice.

So...who uses them, and can anyone recommend a decent pair?

so what makes a good pair? I see a lot of the more expensive ones feature leather palms, and include some sort of Kevlar. Are they worth the money?

I've been using fingerless riding gloves w/gel padding. But those look way better. I may have to get a pair.

A pair that fits, is breathable, flame retardant and not of a slippery nature.

Batting gloves work well, and also golf gloves. I especially like golf gloves because they are usually made of a very thin, but very high-quality leather.

the only handguns that i shoot with gloves on is my 1911, and that is only when i am working with a long gun as well. ie doing transtions, and or alot of rilfe and handgun work together, to keep my hands from getting torn up.
