anybody tried one of these yet? i'd like to get some info on one, like a review or something to see how they perform. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/778/products_id/411535357 |
| I got one a month ago. The price was just under $300. It works very nicely, but the firing pin was a little long and I had to pull the roll pin and shorten it about .006" to keep it from impacting the barrel. Mine is mounted on my stainless 226 frame and shoots very well. HS stuff provides a little quicker functioning, but mine works fine with Federal Gold Medal match stuff and is very accurate. |

I got one from the AR15.com store. Best price and in stock. Fast shipping. Great buying experience. Top Gun Supply has extra mags for $29. I did a write up on Uzitalk. Overall I am happy with it. I wanted one of these for years. Glad I didn't buy a Mosquito. Downsides are mine has the sights installed way too far to the left. They need to be centered in the dovetail (where's my sight pusher?). The lack of last round hold open is annoying and exaggerated the lack of relief for the firing pin in the chamber. So far SIG hasn't recognized the defect. My Advantage Arms Glock conversion has a last round hold open and a relief in the chamber for firing pin strikes. SIG's conversion should also have this but doesn't. Jeffssig is offering stainless guide rods and 15 round mag conversions. I bought both and they work great. He advertises on Sigforum. There are LOADS of reviews on the kit there as well. Mine also came with a $10 off coupon for CCI ammo, which they recommend. CCI functions the best. Thuinderbolts and some Federal bulk pack has had problems due to their inconsistency. |
