I want to replace the 3 dot night sights that came on my Ed Brown Special forces. I've got Ameriglo sights on a glock with a bright orange ring/tritium front sight and a single dot rear sight that works great for my old eyes. I want to put a 10-8 performance rear sight
and Trijicon HD front sight. The Trijicon front sight is .144 wide and .215 tall. The sights on the EB are .180 tall and hits a little high for me. The 10-8 rear sight comes in a variety of widths(.125, .140.,.156). My question is would the .156 width rear sight be wide enough to see the edges of the .144 front sight? Also the 10-8 rear sight is .325 high, if I had a front sight that was .215 tall how would that affect my poa/poi? Math make my head hurt. This is a carry gun for defensive purposes but I like to shoot precisely at the range. Would this combo of sight height and width (.144 front width/.215 tall, .156 rear width/.325 tall) make for a relatively fast yet precise set up? |
