im looking for a new SIG and wanted to know what the differences between the SP 2009 and 2340 are.  is it just caliber?

also, anybody know a good distributor for them?

Yes, the only difference between the SP2009 and the SP2340 is caliber. Otherwise it is the same, but differs from the other SIG models in its takedown design (and obviously being a polymer frame gun).

I've got a SP2340 in .40, no complaints here aside from its post-ban status, limiting it to 10rnd magazines but that isn't a big issue IMO.

Yep, just the chambering.  The 2009 is 9mm only, the 2340 is either .40 or .357 Sig.  I've got one in .357 Sig, and it sure is fun.

I've had my SP2340 for four years.  You won't regret getting either the 2009 or 2340!  Mine has worked flawlessly and is very accurate as a SIG should be.

You'll find it gets better and smoother with use and age!  There are no signs of wear on the slide, so they hold up well, too!

I had both the 2009 and the 2340 with both barrels. They were good guns but when an opportunity came up to trade them for a revolver it was just too good to pass up.
