Quoted: Yes, you can get pouches for both. I have no experience with Safariland so I can't comment on which is easier or faster, but the HKSwhat does the hive recommend, the Safariland reloader or the "twister" HKS (sp)?? which is easier to manipulate in a speed reload? can I get a speedloader pouch for either one? thanks (I'm new to revolvers, familiar with auto's) billy boy is very serviceable and quick. I used Dade in competition but they are no longer available, except for the rare occasion on ebay. Most people would not recommend Dade for anything other than competition due to their 'emptying' rounds if dropped.

Give the S.L. Variant a look. They are available through BobMacs.com |

I've had a lot of success with the old school HKS speedloaders. Back in the early 1980s when I was a rookie police officer, that was what we were given, what we trained with and carried. I've tried the Safariland comp II, and never learned to like them. They are about as fast. I've never tried the Jet loaders.
Whatever type you choose, practice with them until they are like second nature. |
| I have HKS speed loaders because I have multiple revolvers, Colt Python, Diamondback 38spl & 22LR; S&W 686, 640, 342, 296, & 696 44spl. HKS makes a speed load for each of them, you want them to operate the same, at least for me. I without having to think the difference in operation between a HKS and a Safariland. |
