Whenever I'm ready to have it done and he opens his books for more work, Stippgrips is who I want to go to. Their presidential velvet looks really nice, but I also like their hatch pattern as well. Attached File Attached File |

I prefer these to stippling. A lot cheaper to try out, and easy to remove if you don't like them. You can find them on Ebay cheaper than their website.

This was my first time. The prep work took the longest. I made sure to remove all factory texture before I started. Used a dremel for the tiger grooves and the back strap. Hand sanded the rest. Used two different textures. A little bit less aggressive on the skin side. Used three layers of tape to make the borders. I wish I could redo those and make them a little cleaner. With practice I think they would look pretty good. For curves, tape off and then use razor blade to cut tape away. As long as this took me I totally see why people pay to have them done. This took me HOURS. Spread over multiple nights. And it could have been better.
