i have an ultra cdp II. when i field strip it for cleaning it is a bear to get the recoil spring and guide out of the slide to get the barrel out. am i missing something or do i just need to get better at this.
need good advice.....

in this pistol the recoil spring and guide are one piece and hard to get out over the barrel....

Are you following the owners manuel instructions? I've never had a problem stripping any compact kimber.

this is probably just me witha new pistol so i am not too overly concerned but i just dont think this process should be that difficult....

You using that "little allen stock looking thingy" that came in the box? The only time I had a problem dissassembling my Ultra CDP II was when I lost it. Paper clips are not a suitable replacement...

yeah i am using it okay. the whole process is getting easier for me now.......
