| I was at the local millitarysupply/gun shop and he has a "used" XD for $350, its never even been shot. the guy bought it for his wife and she said that she didnt like the way it looked so he traded it in on a glock. is this a good deal or should i just spend the extra 100 buck on a new glock? |
not exactly sure, just kinda glanced over it and asked a question about it, sisnt give it much though till i lef the store. it was a 9mm and it looked like a subcompact |
Sounds like a good deal on a great little carry gun to me. You should buy it.

I sell both of these guns on a daily basis (XD's and Glock's). I would go with the XD hands down. In my opinion it is a superior built weapon. It is a safer gun, in that it has the grip safety and also in that the first step to breaking down the XD is to lock the slide to the rear and drop the magazine. Whereas, in the Glock the first step to breaking it down is to pull the trigger. The XD has a cocked striker indicator on the back of the firearm, which the Glock has no such device. The XD has two round wire springs on the guide rod, whereas, the Glock has a single flat wire spring on the guide rod, in my opinion, not as strong. The XD has stainless steel magazines, whereas, the Glock mags are plastic with a steel liner. The XD also feels better in most peoples hands, being in that it is based off of the 1911 style grip. All this being said, remember, this is only my opinion and it is worth exactly what you paid for it. But I do sell these for a living. |
| I to would also take an xd over a glock any day. The XD feels alot better in my hands (but thats my opinion). The factory sights are better and the over all looks are better, and all the above mentioned that i also agree with. Glocks are good but they are over rated, if he raised the price by $100 it sound to me like he is playing games. That would bring the price to $450? thats not worth it. For $479 you get a brand new xd with the xd package: Form fitted case, two stainless mags, a magazine holder for your belt, a holster, and a speed loader. You tell me what the better deal is? |
nope not at all, im a bigger glock fan. i was only going to buy it because it "was" a good deal
