I reload for 9mm and 45. I have a 26 and 19 and am kicking around picking up a 45. I am looking for some input as which one and what models will be able to work in my holsters I already have. I am not want one of the longs that much I know. If I wanted to shoot a long barrel 45 I would be my loaded 1911.

I've got a Springfield XDm 4.5" in 45. and love it....shoots well, fits well, and shots where you point it. It's gone bang on maybe 400 rds. and no problems with any ammo.

The 36 is pretty close in size to a 19

Isn't the 36 really kind of an oddball gun?  Meaning not really part of any of the familes?

Yeah, but it will fit in more 19 holsters than any other Glock 45.

It is. But to me it's closer in size to a 1911

I have a 36 which is a good choice for CCW. I also have a 21 and a 21 SF. I like the 21SF better and use it for matches cause it fits my hands better. I'd like to check out one of the 21SF RTF-2 models and maybe get one of those too.

The 30s fits in my galco kingtuk perfectly but it is a kydex/leather hybrid. The 30s is about same size as a 19 just a hair thicker in the grip.

Also forgot to mention the Galco is IWB and cut/formed for a 26/27/19/23  I carry my 27 everyday, sometimes a 23, and now starting to carry Gen4 19 all in that holster. The 30s is my friends pistol and it feels really nice and has a thin slide same exact width as my 27/23/19.

Make sure its the 30s (slim, small frame plus 9/40 width slide) and not the 30SF (small frame, full Glock 21 width slide) or the 30 (full glock21 width slide).

Yep, I run my G36 in my G19 holster with no problem.  But, out of all my .45s, I like my G21 the most.   Sweet shooter.

Thanks for the input.. I was leaning toward the 21..

I just picked up a 3rd Gen 21SF. It's the best of the Glock .45's in my opinion. The grip on the regular 21 is too big, and the slide on the 41 is both long and light so it's got a harder recoil. The 21SF is perfect. 4th Gen would be fine too if you feel like paying more. :)

After some searching  I think I'm going to be looking into a 30s

I have the G21, G30, G36, and G41. The G21 is by far my favorite.

Carry wise I don't really need a full size 45.  Those with the 30s do you have many issues with slide bite

I really have no interest in a single stack 45

Love my 21SF!...get one!

I have a 21 and a 30. I actually shoot better groups with the 30. Both are fun to shoot though.
