has anyone ever sent in their 1911 to wilson combat to have custom work done?? i am thinking about sending my SA GI model in for a beavertail, tactical saftey, and maybe armor-tuff coating. can anyone give me advice or experences w/them? thnaks |
I had them build me a CQB in '06, and I will never sell it. I was (and still am) amazed by the quality of what they did. I think that you will be very pleased with the results. |
I've had Wilson Combat work on both of my Les Baers, and a Kimber, and have been completely satisfied with the work they have done. Fast turnaround time too. |

A few years ago I had Wilson checker the front of my trigger guard, etch my name in the frame, hand-fit some spare parts for me, install slim-line bushings (they were staked in, so it wasn't super-easy to do), bead blast the trigger (the trigger was armortuffed at the time), and then refinish. They did some top-notch work. The checkering was hand-done and looked beautiful. The etching on the frame was equally gorgeous. |
