I had a great time yesterday. Kenny and the range master were glad to see us and we made a good impression. The turnout was much better than I expected, especially considering the weather. Lost: My wool Army blanket. I last saw it with Subnetmask, who I did not see at all on Sunday. Found: I have a 30 round magazine that I thought was mine with a black magpul and standard black follower. It was on the folding table next to my shooting position Scott, Thanks for letting my friends son shoot the 1919, I am pretty sure you made his month. Swingset, Thanks for helping with the organizing, advice, and the beanie-weenies!  BeaterAR, Thanks for leaving early and leaving me with all the brass!  Mine all mine!!Everyone else, Thanks for coming out in the cold. It is the largest and safest shoot I have ever organized and cannot wait to do it again, as soon as it is a little warmer. Where is Craig's post with the photo-shops in it? <-- never mind, I found it. Bob <-- Me, still smiling.

Aside from a lingering hangover... ...I had an EXCELLENT time. Sorry I didn't make it back out on Sunday, but my motel room bed was just so damn comfy. Thanks to whoever found my beanie, and put it under my windshield wiper. You saved me $12. I don't remember how I ended up asleep in Pete's room AT ALL. Wierd.  Bob - I have your blanket, and I'll need to mail it back to you.  Great times, as always!

All I can say was I had a great time. Fun Day, lots of cool weapons, and a fun target. Thanks to Bob for setting everything up and letting me shoot his Full Auto AR-15 (M-16?). Sorry, but I’m terrible with names, but thanks again to Bob and to NoHarmNoFal (I hope that’s right) for the use of the propane heaters…. And it was great to meet everyone..  In the day to two, I’ve got a couple of pictures to post, and one or two videos to post. Now for the big question, when is the next one?

We left at 10:01, I pulled in my driveway at 2:01, exactly 4 hours with a couple small stops. That's good time, and I wasn't flying either. Highway Patrol was all over the fucking place coming up I71. |
Law Enforcement was non-existant until about three miles from the state line. I saw one Kentucky car of some kind. Then, I saw one Cincinnati car on a traffic stop in town, another one driving on the interstate a few miles later, and three Troopers on traffic stops the rest of the way. Oh, and one running radar in the median. I guess Kentucky State Police don't push speed enforcement on I71. |
Only see em occasionally in my area of 71, they're too busy messing with the locals on two lane roads. The place to watch out for on 71 down my way is Oldham county/ La Grange city. |
That aside, and I do not want to hold anyone to promises made while drinking, but I seem to recall at one point you told KYBob you had plenty of bandwidth to host video? I probably have about 25 minutes of video, the stuff we watched Saturday night. I would be happy to just burn a disk and send it to you. Let me know because among other things, you may recall I had the big and final boom on video. |
GPS had my moving average at 69mph, and my overall average (includes stops) at 63. My stops totalled like 15 minutes, and I made it all the way up here to Fulton County in 5 hours, 20 minutes. I saw way too many troopers running radar coming up I-71 and I-75 to chance going any faster. I don't know how they do it down in Kentucky, but the OSP has it in for me, so I play nice.

wtf happened to you anyway? i woke up at 0530 and you were gone and the door was open. i did not notice any cops because david drives slower than my grandma. i got home sometime after 5. |
I woke up around 3:00am, and I was SORE, cold...and still drunk. In my drunken and sleepy haze, I decided that my own bed sounded nice, so I stumbled down to the front desk and got a room. Not sure why the door was open. When daylight hit, I had a huge headache and decided that my cozy little bed was nicer than going back down to KCR, so I slept in. I went home after that, since I didn't want to get back too late. Kind of a bummer, because I would have liked to have breakfast with everybody, and shoot some more. But man...I wasn't feeling all that hot.

Did anybody gets pics of those two chics making out at the party? Or was that at my room later, shit I am confused. Did someone remember to take to the purple dildo? Did swingset ever reveal exactly WHO it was he was in love with? I kind of thought it was me? Did we ever figure out "who the fed was"? The 7 foot tall guy with dreds would be the one to fly under all our radars. Yah the 7 foot Viking with associated dreads is definitly the fed. NOT Seriously I had a hell of a time Thanx to Swingset and KY Bob for putting it together IM me with any details for any local or regional shoot I will be glad to help in any way I can. |

I am just gald we never got to the part where we dim the lights and tell the propane story, while we play spot the Fed. Because this time I was going to drop my pants and show the scar. With the advent of wireless technology and realtime posting, I now know better! It still would have been fun to tell "the rest" of that story. We will save it for a warm weather camp fire. |

Bob and I left at the same time? Hmm. This is what I remember: Hanging out in the Kentucky Room, drinking a bunch of whatever was given me, winning $50 (I'm still not 100% sure what I did to win that, but thanks Bob!), posting some bullshit on ARFCOM, and hearing something about "They want us to leave". That's the last thing I remember. After that, I have no idea. Apparently, I made it up to a motel room but I don't remember any of it after the Kentucky Room. For all I know, I passed out as soon as I got to Pete's room, because that's where I woke up at 3:00am. Somebody took a pic of me and NoHarmFAL smiling for the camera, and I don't remember it at all. I don't even remember what I was drinking. I do recall buying some Honey Brown at the liquor store, and I did hit Pete's bottle of Old Grandad. The waitress at the restaruant kept brining me Amber Bock. Damn, my memory is hazy. Didn't we all leave the conference room at the same time? I thought they kicked us out. |
I took the picture of you and NoHarmNoFAL. You were pretty drunk. AND.... you bit the head off of Mr Softie. You walked into Craig's room with it in your mouth and eventually bit it in half. Then you disappeared and Mark came in the next morning looking for you. You also reminded me of something else... WHO TOOK THE DINNER PIC AT TUMBLEWEED??!?!??! |
In my post "He" is the dildo. The dildo was no longer on the fireplace and Bob was gone. Coincidence? YOU were still there until the end when they kicked us out. You got that part right in your memory. After I put Bob's cooler by his room door, with lots of beers still inside it, and his Knob Creek on top of it, I swung by the front desk to inquire with the young lady as to why the party was over. She said she would have let us go all night. The hotel manager lives in the place and his living quarters were downstairs. Apparently he needed his sleep? He must have been related to the people at the Tumbleweed? What happened to hospitality in the hospitality business? Then again who knew so many arfcomers were going to show up to begin with? Am I crazy or was there not a pic posted in this thread of pudwak holding mr softie with me standing in the background? They might have pulled it..........so to speak? PS when you wake up in the morning and your anus hurts, there is usually a reason for it. |

That's an excellent idea. I can't wait for the next one, but we HAVE to camp. My favorite part of these shoots is hanging out around the camp fire afterwards. The motel is nice (especially when it's cold out), but it just isn't the same. |
I want camp too. My girlfriend wants to come to the next one and your wife said so in the other thread. You are more than welcome to come and stay here the next time.

I'm so glad I don't drink. Next time we all need to bring a case a tannerite per person and mix it all together , place it inside the VAN where no one can see it and see if we hurt ourselves Also fill the VAN with a bunch more flammable things, more fire , and a bigger boom. |
Good idea. If that last one was almost a half gallon, I want to see a gallon.

Dang, looks like a great time. Sorry I missed this one. I'll keep checking in for next time. We're moving down there for good (Louisville area) as of 2/27. Taking an apartment for now in the hopes our home up here will sell in the next six months (the lease on the apartment). |
