It's a given that Connolly has got to go..... but which of the Republican candidates is the best choice? Discuss.

Fimian is the more conservative choice, IMO.

Herrity seems to like higher taxes.

I need to know too.  Place I drive by north of Clifton has big Herrity signs out.  The've had Bush, McCain/Palin and now Herrity.  They usually vote the way I do and I've heard to vote Fimian this time.  Maybe they didn't get the memo.

Any questioneers from NRA or GOA answered by either?

Please explain.  I've heard some flat out lies from Fimian's team on Herrity, but would like to know if maybe something is out there that Fimian's team missed, that we should know about.

From what I read about Herrity's actions on the Board, he is all about cutting spending, keeping or lowering personal property taxes, and the like...is this false?

I got an email from the Herrity campaign today...apparently Mr. Fimian spent some time in jail in 1976 for assaulting someone in college.

That won me over for Fimian...AT LAST A REPUBLICAN THAT WILL FIGHT!

I met both candidates while protesting Obama at Mason.  I donated to the Fimian campaign shortly after that.  Any guy that was willing to take the pummeling the Dems laid on him in 2008 and come back for more is the guy I want to kick that commie fuck Connolly out of his seat.

I'm tired of Fimian's attack ads on TV.

It's what he learned from the flogging he took from the Marxists in the last cycle.

Neither candidate answered the VCDL candidate survey.

If anyone has a personal phone number for either of these candidates, now is the time to use it.  If they are going to just give lip service to the 2nd Amendment,  find out now.
The 8th District candidate I have been backing, Matthew Berry, shows up on the list as not having returned the survey, either.  I've just sent him a seriously worded email, and left him a phone message.

No offense to any of the three candidates that this thread now covers, but damnit, I'm getting sick of politicians.

I don't and never have lived in that district... hell, I don't even live in Virginia.  But, Herrity keeps spamming my email.. specifically, my business email even after I've repeatedly asked to be removed from the list.  To me, that's a big point against him.

From my 8th District thread:
BTW, there was a VCDL email this morning that indicated that Berry had NOT sent in his survey. According to Berry, the survey had been marked with YES to all questions  and faxed in. Either something went wrong on his end or we have further proof that Philip and Jim are overworked. Berry is in the process of re-faxing the survey to VCDL HQ.

(Whew... )

something similar could have occurred with Herrity or Fimian...

I got a reply from one of them and it's been deleted out of my spam folder already.  I think it was from the Herrity campaign.  Basically said that VCDL had a previous copy of the survey on file already but they were filling it out again.

But you used to...

Fimian put up all his signs infront of all of the large Herrity signs.  That looks desperate in my book.  Guess thats why I might vote Herrity.  Nothing like not knowing who the lesser of two weavils are.

Fimian already lost to Connolly once, a repeat would likely turnout the same.

I think some key dynamics have changed.  Obama isn't going to be driving the turnout nearly as much as in 2008.  Fimian learned from his past mistakes. (Of course, the DNC will put out about six mailings a day on abortion.)  Connolly is now a known quantity throughout PW county.

I voted for Fimian this morning, but if Herrity wins he will have my to defeat the Marxist enabler that currently holds that seat.

...Connolly kept getting re-elected to the Board from Fairfax, so people up here know his name too, and were happy with his policies for their county...

Whoever faces Connolly, better run a better campaign than Fimian ran the first time.  It was weak.  The only reason I knew who Fimian was, was because he showed up at a Republican rally in Springfield I happened to attend.  Otherwise, both his name and message were completely obscured from the mainstream of this part of the 11th district.

I think Fimian learned a lot from that flogging.  The Marxists stuffed my mail box with their propaganda attacking him and extolling the virtues of their lap dog.  They won't have that kind of money this cycle, they've got incumbents more senior that the piece of shit that currently represents that district in trouble.  They'll get priority of what money they do have.

Our side is very motivated to vote.  Conditions are even more favorable than they were in 94.  The only thing that can stop us from rolling back these commies is the Republicans fucking it up.  Again.

Looks like Fimian is going to take it.

Nope, never lived in Herrity's district.  But did live in that hell hole of the rectal gland of the nation called Northern Virginia though.
