The only gate that I found was locked. What is the reason for not having signs posted?

The house stage with the ACOG was slower than than say a Aimpoint or Eotech.

The only gate that I found was locked. What is the reason for not having signs posted?
Dunno, I'm not a member.  This was only the second time I've been there.

Yeah well, look how much time it saved you on the long range stage.  I believe your time was around 45 seconds, mine was 190 seconds

180-200 yard shots with the sun in your eyes on 8 - 10 inch targets and an eotech with no magnifier is a bitch.  Sucky thing is,  I made the first two hits in I believe 4-5 rounds total.  Then went through abotu 30 more getting 3 more hits because I had to turn towards the sun.  That eotech is going bye bye.  I'm getting a low mag ACOG for it.

We had a marine that was old enough to have done boot with a '03.  He did it in 8 shots, with irons  But he took about 44 seconds.  Either way, he flat out SCHOOLED us.

Sorry you could not find it. The first gate off Mt. Olive was unlocked and open. Signs have been put up before, and they end up getting shot up.

Sounds like the gate you found was the second gate and the entrance to the rifle range.

I am in the process of trying to get some funds approved to get some signs up to help people find us.

We had a great turn out with 20 shooters! Thanks to everyone that helped set up, run and tear down... This makes things always go a lot smoother.

I am working on the scores now and they should be up soon on www.shooters101.com.

Sorry you could not find it. The first gate off Mt. Olive was unlocked and open. Signs have been put up before, and they end up getting shot up.


After I posted that, I remembered how shot up the Alcoa No Trespassing sings were and thought that perhaps that might be the reason that BGC didn't bother with putting up signs.

 I asked direction from a security guard that was patroling Alcoa rds and he gave me a bum steer. I guess he got a big kick out of that.

Lets make sure I Have the stages right on the sheets.

Stage 1 was the stage with long wall on the front bay.

Stage 2 was the stage with the house and car.

Stage 3 was on the left end of the rifle range.

Stage 4 was the all steel stage.

It took me a few rounds to get my dial in on the steel but when I did I was smokin!!!!

LOL yeah I;m with you on that..... This match needs to be on it's own day.

Looks like maybe the 3rd Saturday in February.....

What we were thinking is maybe a two gun match.

Have about 5 stages two pistol and rifle and 3 rifle only..... oh and we will of course use the same size steel targets....

What do you think?

I may use and SPR then with a mini red dot on the side
