This was probably a year ago, it wasn't from someone else in the bar area, it was after we walked out and were on our way back to the hotel, 2 guys came off one of the side streets and followed us the whole way til we got close to the hotel then turned around and went the other way. Edit: On a time before that, me and 4 of my friends watched 2 girls, one super drunk, the other carrying half carrying her, walking towards a parking garage and a guy started following them. We tailed behind and as soon as we saw him go into the garage after them hollered and asked him for "directions" then he left the garage and went another direction. |

Louisville Metro Police officers were called to Liberty Court near 13th Street about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. When police arrived, they found a man in his mid-20s on the ground at the housing complex. He had been shot multiple times. The man was rushed to University Hospital where he died. Bond/Bail is one of most idiotic of all poorly structured social programs.
The more responsible a person is, the more they are penalized. Trash routinely walks and they have plenty of drug money. Decent people who own property, have a little savings, and earn a respectable living get penalized. Those who have no attachment to anything anywhere, sell drugs, and live off government aid get special consideration and given minimal bond/bail. Super stupid and super common. |

I thought it was based on the crime and flight risk. A junkie lowlife criminal on the hook for murder doesn't seem like they have much reason to stick around, especially when the only skin they have in the game is $250 (or $25?).
Looks like they get some sympathy consideration too. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. |

From what I've seen, probation officers seem to do the evaluations. The process is a social program. It is a matter of the more responsible and decent you are, the harder you are hit. The bigger low life you are, the more consideration you are given. Understand that most people don't know how it all works. Most that have been through the process can effectively communicate how it works, but have learned how to game the system, as with other social programs. |

A man has been shot, after what neighbors suspect is a fight with his roommate. |

Yes, that and the fact that the Metro government does not care what happens in that zip code. The residents there will continue to vote the same way and for the same people that they have always voted for, no matter what happens. Other neighborhoods need more attention or those residents might vote for different leadership. We can't have that. Just look at the other cities around the country. Detroit, Baltimore, DC and NYC. The whole system is corrupt from the bottom up. A new broom sweeps clean, but the residents of the West End will continue to vote for the same tired and failed policies. Useless politicians get elected and hire useless police chiefs who hire useless police officers or send the good officers to affluent white neighborhoods so those people will be happy. |

LMPD 6th division crimewatch report for 6/14 to 6/20

Man found shot to death in middle of the street in Fern Creek
Police found the body of man in the street near Waltlee Road and Oak Creek Lane around 11:30 Wednesday night. Police say he was shot and died in the street. "Apparently there's a segment of our society that has no value for human life," said LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell. You think? Stop the presses! Not-guilty pleas entered for pair accused of killing Valley Station teen Mudd and Byrd are accused of violating Hassler to search her body for stolen drugs, driving her to an area near the Jefferson-Bullitt County line and shooting her. Suspect arrested after woman shot on Dixie Hwy. near Algonquin Pkwy. 54-year-old Curtis Hayden shot a woman multiple times. He's charged with assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Holy shit! Criminals break the law? We need more gun laws to keep this from happening again! Louisville man arrested after police allegedly find 78 needles in backpack He was arrested and charged with third degree criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. You mean the drug paraphernalia that the taxpayers are paying for the government to give out to these junkie pieces of shit? In the first week, 57 junkies turned up and collected 1,352 clean syringes and turned in 189 used ones. To quote Sen. Stivers, “It is my opinion, just to do a handout versus an exchange is purely promoting the use of illegal drugs.” Brilliant! Now these fucks have fresh needles and need a fix - I wonder why we're seeing the crime numbers that we are. |
|
And now a 19 year old is murdered in Fern Creek. An area usually not riddled with problems other than burgs and (unlocked) car break ins.
But there have been about a dozen guns stolen from unlocked cars over the last few weeks, so this doesn't surprise me one bit. |

There are a few businesses right there that I've patronized, including one that I hang out at sometimes. There isn't much in the news, but the FB gossip machine is humming along. |
