Whatever the flavor, I hate the taste of shine.

That being said, I love to drink it.

does putting fruit in it really change the flavor? I love pure corn liquor taste very unique but have never had it with fruit

Lots of very, very tiny bubbles.

It's corn liquor, with fruit added.  It's definitely different.  I haven't tasted the apple yet, but I've had the peach before at our hunting camp.

You better believe it.  Normal corn liquor taste somwhere between kerosene and lava to me.  I've never really been able to distinguish flavors and indivdual nuances.  But peach liquor is the nectar of the gods, and the breakfast of champions.

Since I am a Damn Yankee, I have never tried Moonshine.  My drink of choice is Crown Royal but someday I want to be introduced to this "Southern" sauce.

yeah! that stuff's awesome when you put it in sweet tea! You do like half a glass of sweet tea, and half a glass of the peach firefly...and it knocks you on your ass, but it tastes SOOOO good....goes good with chick-fil-a tea

I'll stick with plain Vodka. Or Everclear. Have you tried Everclear and hot sauce?

Down here it's more Golden Grain then Everclear, although it's the same stuff.

In high school, we used to play quarters with Golden Grain and Dr Pepper.

You can do both, I assume. And Shep, the only thing I mix with Dr.Pepper is Jaeger. They compliment each other.

Goldschlagger (sp?) and Jager go quite nice together as well. Mix 50/50 and take shots.  Be sure to stay around something soft

This thread makes my head hurt.

Last time I drank shine I woke up cold and naked on the bathroom floor of my guest bathroom.  My right ear was ringing and the thumb & first two fingers on my right hand were black and stinging from me apparently lighting then holding firecrackers at arms length away from me.  Really don't remember doing that either.

The tiny bubbles might not be an indication of high alcohol content, but I've always found the more and tinier the bubbles, the finer the 'shine!

Bubbles appearing and disappearing quickly when shaken is a sure sign of serious potency.

Crystal clear flame from product when burned on watch glass indicates purity of product.

Clear, water like appearance with no debris or cloudiness shows the maker knows his stuff.
