Well, fellas, it is SNOWING to beat the band here between Akron and Cleveland, along with a stiff 30 mph wind. Frost warnings for 28-30*F tonite. |

AFHack--10-4, loud and clear! I just got back from the Hill Country around San Antonio. heck, it got in the 60* and people were going around in hooded winter parkas!!! P.S. Red_Neck, Man the deer here up north seem to be going crazy. Never seen so many just running around, and it ain't near the rut yet. You'll do good down there with or without the white stuff. I say let it snow, let it snow, let it snow  Its not really winter unless it snows! And who can forget the times when you were in grade school getting off for a couple of inches of snow and making rounds in the neighborhood with your friends to make money shoveling dirveways! I predict a snowy winter possibly surpassing the blizzard we had a couple of years ago. With the global warming and all and extra moisture from the melting glaciers

Johnny, I am yucking it up about a bad winter coming like you predict. Seems like Tuesday a white-collar buddy of mine at Akron's Goodyear HQ was told: "Go work on the floor or else" during the strike they are now having with the USW. So, they shipped the poor Akronite off to work in the Goodyear Plant in Buffalo! He said next day they got 14 inches of wet snow and ice which snapped the powerlines for both the Goodyear Plant and the motel they set him up in yesterday! He's sitting in a dark motel room yacking with me on his cell. Roads are a mess he says. No hot grub and he only brought one change of clothes figuring he'd drive back to Akron this weekend. HAR! HAR! |
