1) I'm one handgun a month from my FFL till I have CCW.  Is an out-of-state CCW good enough for that.

I applied for a VA out of state CCW last week.  I'll probably get it once I am a VA resident already.  Can I use that to pick up ALL my toys from my FFL?

2) What're my TV options in fairfax?

I usually go with every channel and end up paying hundreds a month and never watching it.
All I want is all Discovery channels all History channels National geographic and the outdoors channels.
That should be some ki nd of  'basic' package right?  Should i go with cable, satellite??

Get digital cable.  In Fairfax, you'll probably have a choice between Cox and Comcast.  I have Comcast and am pretty happ with them.  I have both TV and Internet service with them and the digital with DVR is a pretty good and reliable set-up.

I've been on Comcast for a while for basic digital TV and internet and have had no problems and great service.  I don't have any first-hand experience with the other guys but I've heard a lot of people complain about them

Interesting situation...I wonder if the non-resident CHP becomes invalid once you become a resident of the state?  That might be another problem for using the non-resident for >OGAM.

I can't help you with the TV options.  I'm in an apartment complex that is strangely divided.  A couple of buildings in the complex use Cox.  The rest of the village uses some small company called Telemedia.  It comes into the complex via satellite feed, and certain channels go blank for 2-3 seconds when some flights land at Dulles (the dish points into the landing path).

Welocme to VA!

ANSWER-My interpretation of Va. law. Nope. You must have a Va. Concealed Handgun Permit.
