What the hell. I've been hearing from people over and over the last few months... "Hey did you hear about that new gun range in Olathe that lets you shoot 50 BMG indoors at 100 yards?!?!"
My response has been something like "Ya ya ya, that's OMB in Olathe... supposed to be pretty cool. Haven't been there myself". Get hit up again today, but this time the guy is insistent it's called something else. Keeps calling it cross-fire. We of course I know of cross-fire and insist he's mistaken, but I'm stuck in a room with the guy and he persists. A little Google-Fu later and we come up "Center Fire" range in Olathe. Ok, so I don't have a decent indoor OR outdoor range within a hour of here, but Olathe has TWO within 5 miles of each other?! Cass county, I feel so cheated. |

Yeah my folks have 10 acres in Miami County. Great for one person shooting at one target at up to 250 yards, but I can't train on multiple targets there and they are not exactly convenient.
I too need to start saving up more dough and get a chunk for myself. I'm tied to KCMO though so I think Cass, Clay, and Platte are my only options. |
| I'm pretty sure I could get multiple targets set up and maybe even do some 200 yd+ stuff. The problem is that my aunt has expressed some displeasure with the shooting of "loud guns" on their property. I've made it a point to tread lightly out there unless she is at work. |

La Tour is 40 minutes away as well. I do have some private land I can shoot on occasionally, including my folks, but it just ticks me off we don't have anything down here were I can walk in and work out a glitch with a pistol, or quickly zero a rifle. Hell I'd be ecstatic with one of those manned conservation ranges. *Looking at those yearly memberships at those Olathe ranges just made me even more envious. |

You can always come out to my place to check a glitch or zero a rifle. I am out in P-Hill about 4 miles or so south of town. |

Went to centerfire today during lunch. Nice little place. I have been hearing the commercial on the rock for them. 16 indoor lanes going to 75 yds and up to 50 bmg. It sites in the back of an industrial park. Some stock for ammo and guns. They did have a couple hundred win 5.56 (actual 5.56, not 223) boxes for 13.5 a box with 100 rnd limit.
