 I started the project with an 18 inch bull barrel DPMS LR10.. It weighed in at 11.4 lbs. I picked up another receiver and a m4 style barrel etc. Had the barrel shortened to 14 1/2 inches and a pined miculek compensator (done by bwideman @ Steele Point Guns in Troy mo.) Several dollars later and some switching around of parts, I still have a long barrel upper and a 10 lb rifle with a shorter lighter set up. Added hd carbine buffer and spring and carbine stock. Now to get out and see how it runs.........Range report coming next
