Can't say I do not want a copy of that file...
1 printed Glock please .... Oh wait ... So, I know a guy who has a printer. He made me a cool old school Star Trek Enterprise in 5 minutes. |

New York congressman Steve Israel has already called for national legislation to ban 3D-printed guns.
Government fears what it can't control. Too bad most of us can make a gun in our garages from crap we have laying around. What a bunch of chicken little nutjobs.

ByteTheBullet (-: OK, I admit it. I can't go into my workshop and make gun. Various explosives, sure. But not a gun. And that might be a good thing because I would probably make one if I knew how.... and it would have a chainsaw attachment on the bottom.. And a squirrel launcher. |

All you really need is a chamber, barrel, something to support the round and a way to set off the primer. Even something simple like a pen gun. |

All you really need is a chamber, barrel, something to support the round and a way to set off the primer. Even something simple like a pen gun. That's all this thing is, just plastic. Huge and inefficient for shooting a single .22lr cartridge. Could do similar or better with what most folks have laying around. But that's not the point, it's a proof of concept by a dude who wanted to be heard and has now invited the man into his life. Now the congress critters think we can start pumping out crates of baby killing assault weapons like some star trek shit. They won't bother to learn how weak the material is, and how making something that's a real "threat" is a long ways off. Hell they can't even make a firing pin, not to mention chambers for real calibers etc. Yeah we need to think about the future possibilities but all the recent press coverage is FUD. I mean hell if you have a milling machine and the CAD files you can shit out a lower and buy everything else off radar, boom instant mountains of dead babies. Oh the humanity. |

+1 Squirrel launcher...do want. Scrw some 1x6 boards to an electrically operated skeet throwers arm. Set it up in an ammunition rich environment. Smear a daub of PB & J on the platform and go sit in a ground blind with the trigger switch. Wait for a squirrel to take the bait. Enjoy, rinse, repeat. Remember a 45 degree launch angle will give you the most throw. |
| What I find disturbing is the fact the Government asked him to stop, then posted that it is now under the control of the Government, but yet they did all that without seeing what actual control they have via courts. So the gubment steps in without knowing if they can legally do that, but they do it anyway |
