It's small.  When I last went there, I needed .458 SOCOM ammo, .44 Magnum hard cast, and AR irons.  Picked up everything in 30 minutes.

I haven't been to the Big Town show in about 5 years. The only time I went I was sure my truck was going to be broken into, that was even with a Mesquite police car patrolling parking lot LOL

In all the years I've been there, I've had one dealer friend have his car broken into once, and that was before they had the portable police tower out there.

That's far from the best area however. Plus the city limits are down the street for a quick getaway.

The Sam's club nearby has off duty DPD at 7am

I will report back if I decide to go.

It's gotten more crowded since they fenced off the rest of the old parking lot.  I've had good luck parking on the far edge away from the building close to the portable Mesquite Police tower.

I've been a bunch of times since the fencing...  But this must have been driven by the thing in Florida.  Even in my Jeep, there wasn't any "grass" parking.

$40 lowers @ Primary Arms.  We'll see if they do their $30 sale, limit 5 @ the beginning of March.

Wasn't too bad inside.  Parking was a fustercluck.  Found a nice RIA souble stack 9mm.  Didn't have the balls to pull the trigger though.  Seemed like a decent show once you got around the parking FUBAR.

Everyone had their stuff zip tied so I couldn't dry fire the M&P 2.0.  Not a big deal. I have a 1.0 and apex, but the new grip was more grippy.  Seemed a nice improvement.

Got some nice shirts and $20 do everything holster for all my extra guns that don't have dedicated holsters.  Was nice to have some me time away from media telling me what a bad person I was.

Also no 9mm ARs to speak of.  Sad panda.

My wife and I tried to go Saturday morning. We drove around for 15 minutes trying to find a parking spot before we gave up. All I really wanted to do is look at safes and maybe a 22/45.

We drove up to Garland and bought a safe and never went back to the show. Spent all day Sunday trying to reorganize to fit a large safe into my life. Anyone know whose got a good price on a 22/45 lite or tactical?

3-4 March

Lewisville - small Premier show in their facility, gun store next door.  Plenty of free parking @ this one.

Longview - haven't been, who do we have that lives out that way?  @DeathHates

Sherman - might be of interest to our Oklahoma folks as well, if you think of someone who lives close, @ them here.

I'll be playing hooky again this weekend, my apologies.

Not to be a dark cloud here but the Sherman show is usually not worth the admission. Very few black rifles and old pawn shop fudd guns. It can be walked through in 15 minutes, usually.

This. Sherman gun show is a joke. Grouchy old guys wanting top dollar on beat-up rusty depression-era hunting guns. If you are lucky there might be a pitted Ruger P-Series auto mixed in.

I went to the Lewisville show today and saw a very familiar business had a table!  I was disappointed that they didn’t have any BFL decals but easy enough to order from the site.

I bought summer sausage and elk sticks, jerky, bamboo pillows, and a Karambit.

I didn’t notice any panic but the Slidefire stocks were $600.

I did not. I have had a strong temptation to get a Mossberg Shockwave, and it seems to be building. But, I was able to resist. I have now gone two months without buying a gun. We'll see how long my resolution holds.

Prepare your wallet sir!  I don't have drill next weekend!

I'll post up next weekend's show dates tomorrow.  I've been doing MDMP all weekend with a small break for qualifying w/ M855A1.

You already told me that and I'd slept since then.  My apologies for the oversight.

Free parking @ Will Rogers is on the east side of the complex, you'll have to walk about 1/4 miles past the barns.  Take a right @ the 1st light north of I-30, and take a right into the parking lot when you can see the animal barns.

King Tut is pretty good, but I prefer Tera off 7th.  Plus, Tut is too close to Heim for me.  If I am in the hospital district, I am going to Heim.  I may stop by the FTW gun show on Saturday.
