Is there anyone in the DFW area that could assist me in the milling of 2 KE Arms Forged lowers?
They are the 7075 if that makes a difference.  I think I may have bit off a little more than I can chew.
Thanks

Be careful what you are asking for here....  BATFE really wants to crack down on 80% builds and they've started going after people who "assist" too much in the milling processes.  It is my understanding that people can loan you the tooling, and offer you verbal advice without being in much danger of "crossing the line".  But you need to make it clear that you are actually DOING all the work yourself.  Even more of a grey area is if CNC software is being used...  you need to make sure that any machine setup as far as locating parts in jigs, etc. are DONE BY YOU.  What you don't want to be in a situation of is where someone does everything for you except "push the button".  Because an argument could be made that they actually did it for you.

I'm not trying to scare you or bust your 8@11$...  Just saying you want to make absolutely sure you stay on the right side of the letter of the law...

Buy a cheap milling machine an practice and go slow.

Or build a network of friends here in ARFCOM and maybe you can offer a trade for someone to let you use their machine.

Either way, you will have to do 100% of the work required.

Yes I have decided just to buy inexpensive machine....  I have asked a few people for use of and understand why they don't want to loan use of... My intentions were to do all myself, but got a little confused on some of process.  Think on on track now though.  I got one to screw up that's why a bought 2 figure one will be learning process....  Thanks
