Is there anyone in the Dallas area that has an AMD they wouldn't mind letting me run a few rounds through?
I have been toying with the idea of getting one for some time now, but can't quite bring myself to commit without getting some trigger time. If you think we can work something out, let me know. Thanks for the help guys |

Thanks for the help guys Did you have concerns about it? Don't have an AMD65 myself, just a Draco SBR (which would be relatively similar to the AMD65, just no brake) and WASR10, both are good to go for me. Kinda oranges to tangerines, but ya know |

Wire stock isn't a concern, yet.
I've shouldered them and played with one at the gun store, but never had a chance to fire one. The muzzle blast isn't a huge concern of mine, really just the recoil with the stock, I'd like to see how it is. I know of plenty of good reports on them, and like wise, plenty of bad reports on them, really just want some hands on with one before I commit to it. |

Recoil is very very low IMO. I have a pretty full schedule, but if you don't mind waiting it out, you can blast away on mine with as much ammo as you can feed it. Where are you located? North of Dallas. Let me know what your schedule looks like and we will see if we can't figure something out |

FWIW, I had one for a while and got rid of it because of the wire stock. YMMV Well, I guess you could wrap a couple of your maxi-pads around the wire...
I love mine - It's compact and handy, and produces a most fearsome fireball... http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7807/dscf2603.jpg (not my gun or photo) yeah. I could. the added benefit would be that if I was wounded in a beer can assault, I could use the pads for bleeding control. or I could have zero cheek weld like the guy in the picture you attached as your argument and pray to mother russia for accuracy. I found that the wire stock was not only uncomfortable during longer strings of fire, but left a lot to be desired in the cheekweld for accuracy department. but hey, like I said, YMMV and obviously, IMHO so I ditched uncomforable, inaccurate, and loud for something I found a little more desireable: (they're my guns and pic)
here's more compact, more accurate, more enjoyable to shoot, etc (its my gun and photo):
another example of a "wire stock" that is uncomfortable, just to show you I dont disciminate completely (its my gun and photo) ETA: maxi pad free
