Anyone know if the Magpul PRS "adjustable" stock is considered a "collapsible" stock? Just wondering if Im going to go that route or stick with the A2 stock on my AR-10 Build.

Thanks!

I don't think it would, as there are lots of rifles at the range I've seen with that stock, and they were not pre-bans. The amount of adjustment is minimal.

That doesn't look like a collapsible stock but this one (UBR) from Magpaul probably would probably be in violation

One thing that I have wondered about with regard to collapsible stocks is if one doesn't like the setup of their pinned stock if they could drill out a new to change the stock position if that would then cause the stock to be in violation of the CT AWB?

Yeah the UBR is considered a Collapsible stock.

Collapsible stock refers to any stock that you can change it's length noticeably (not minute) by hand with no special tools.

If you pin it, then re-pin it at a different distance at home ,or have a gunsmith do it (the right way) it is still a fixed stock as you can not change it on the fly.

" . . . at a different distance . . ."

I was told (at an unnamed CT gun shop) that a collapsible stock must be pinned either fully-extended or fully-collapsed.

Nevermind that most people will pin it fully-extended –– can it be pinned in any position?

PRS is Adjustable not Collapsible or folding and CT legal.

A stock can be pinned in any position, however it must be pinned before being installed on the gun.

There are collapsible stocks that could be considered adjustable, because they have multiple positions besides fully extended or retracted.
