All I can say is wow.
Daniel Defense makes one buttstock, 3 colors. Since I started this thread I have been googling, searching for this damned stock with no success. Everyone is out of stock including Daniel Defense itself. How the hell can a company make one stock and not be available anywhere? What is so freakin special about this thing?

That DD stock is brand new and i think i read that it is only available on fully assembled rifles for now. Well, they show it on their website as being available to buy separately not to mention there are other places like PA and a few others that list it..just not in stock. |

Semi automatic centerfire you can add all the evil features you want to it. It does not matter when it was built. Rimfire semi autos the old ban limits still apply. So you have to pin adjustable stocks. What is it about rimfire that the old ban limits still apply? |

Can I get one shipped to CT.? If have a so called "assault weapon" then it can have all the evil feature you want on it, that includes folding/collapsing stock, flash hider, forward grip, grenade launcher, etc. It has been recommended in the past to register (obtain the certificate of possession) the firearm prior to adding additional evil features to the so called assault weapon. If your semiautomatic detachable magazine centerfire firearm IS NOT a so called "assault weapon" and was manufactured post 9/13/94 then you cannot add a folding/collapsing stock to it. The stock would have to be pinned prior to taking possession of the stock. If your semiautomatic detachable magazine centerfire firearm is of pre 9/13/94 manufacture (ie "preban") then it can have a collapsing stock on it which would make it an assault weapon under the current law. Note that while preban firearms are exempt from the ban on sales/transfers and they do not have to be registered the law appears to treat them as assault weapons in all other respects meaning you are limited to where it can be possessed and how it can be stransported. Edit to add: Semiautomatic detachable magazine rimfire firearms are subject to the old two feature law meaning you can one evil feature (usually the pistol grip) on it, then you have to pin the collapsing stock and pin the muzzle brake on the threaded barrel if it has a threaded barrel. Bayo lugs, grenade launchers, and flash hiders are also evil features from the old law. |

Rimfires were put back under the 93 ban feature test. They quickly found out the CGA exempted rimfire firearms from the feature test. That oversite was fixed with the amendment in Jun.
Between Apr and mid Jun, you could do whatever you wanted to a rimfire firearm. Once May rolled around, the word was out. Everybody was either buying full feature rimfire rifles or debanning their own. Quoted:
