All,

Back to shooting after a very long break and fancy doing some practical shooting.

Seems to me that the m4/ar15 copy is the weapon of choice with many.

So, what do I buy, new or secondhand.

What barrel lenght should I use.

Where do I buy SGC etc.

What about aftermarket parts, stocks, forends etc.

Oh so many questions.

Please help, don't want to end up making a costly mistake.

First of all, welcome to the forum

You cant go much wrong on here there are a few U.K. Ar builders on this forum, I'd say buy new and have it made to what ever spec you like.

As for aftermarket parts there are also people here who can supply you with them

So many options to go for, thats what makes them a great rifle, I've got 3 and it wont stop there

Welcome.... Now where's the beer...

Best advice when looking for an AR is to try before you buy...... have a look at some of the options available and see what suits you best....

I live south of Manchester, completely devoid of any decent gunsmiths.
