You know it's *NOTHING* like assembling an AR right? With what you'd spend on tooling to safely and properly demill and assemble, you'd probably be better off (since you specified a single kit) just sending it somewhere and having them do it. Especially if refinishing is included in the price, because just a parkerizing setup could easily cost you a couple hundred dollars. Do you have a blasting cabinet or hydraulic press? If not, those will add to tooling cost as well. It's very, *VERY* different from an AR-15 assembly. |
| Milled or stamped? I built one on a milled Bulgarian receiver years ago, with a Hungarian parts kit. Had a now-closed machine shop turn down the threads on the barrel shank to fit the pinned receiver and did the rest myself. That one was easy. Stamped is more work with all the rivets that have to be exactly right. The rivet tool can be made from a set of bolt cutters but that just creates more work. |
