Is it on private property?  Found some discussions from 2011 indicating the area was marked no trespassing.  It was one of the short hikes I wanted to take my daughter on this year.

I am not sure if it is on private property, but it has been a popular geocache. No mentions of any property issues in the logs. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=70f4272b-e45e-4c53-b7f5-22d7b28dcbba

I think the "slide" itself is city owned land, but is not (easily) accessible without crossing private land.  That said, I don't think it's blocked off or marked no trespassing.

Let us know what you find if you give it a try, it's been a long time since I was there.

I e-mailed Shane(climb-utah) here is what he said:

"I believe the sliding rock is on private property, But for certain the entire approach route is on private property. "

I remember going there one spring maybe about this time of year.  The runoff was STRONG.  That thing was the alpine flying rock.  The water was shooting off the rock like Victoria falls it seemed like.  I got peer pressured into doing it (I was 16) and I thought I would die.
